Four Things I Did Today:
  1. Woke up at a decent hour on my own (8:45/9ish)
  2.  Went to the grocery store
  3. Biked 16 miles with my class
  4. Decided to indulge you by doing your survey!
Four Things on My To-Do List
  1. Take Layla on a walk
  2. See Anne for a minute before I go to chemistry/chem lab
  3. Study for my biology test tomorrow
  4. Study for my biology test tomorrow
Four Guilty Pleasures
  1. Candy
  2. Periodicals of any sort
  3. The Sunday New York Times wedding section
  4. Flea markets/thrift stores/yard sales/ etc
Four Random Things About Me
  1. I count things alot. When I go up and down stairs I always count them, sometimes starting over when a new flight begins sometimes not. Sometimes I will count the exact number and sometimes I will only go to a certain number, like 20, and then start over again. I also derive a strange pleasure from counting out change.
  2. Sometimes I really want to shave my head.
  3. I like doing things where I can immediately see results and that are methodical, such as scraping the paint off the windows or cutting Christopher's hair.
  4. I carved a gourd yesterday

this morning

Dear Lexie:

Chris: *kisses my cheek, starts pretending like he is giving me a hickey*

Me: "Chris! Don't do that! You are going to leave a hickey on my face!"

Chris: *continues*

Me: "Chris!"

Chris: "Oh come on! Thats not going to give you a hickey!"

15 minutes later

Chris: "Ohhhh......."

Me: "What?"

Chris: " You are going to be mad at me...."

Me: "What? Whats wrong?"

Chris: " Well....uh....I might have, MAYBE, given you a hickey....um but you cant really see it?"

Me: "Are you serious?" *jumps to look in mirror* "CHRIIIIIIIIIIIS!"

Chris: "oh. maybe that was more noticeable than i thought"

Madness ensues

observation

Dear Lexie,

I was folding some laundry just now and I think that I bought the same detergent that you use at your house.... The smell of my laundry reminds me of you and your home. One of the things that I always associate with people is the way that their house smells when I first walk in. Sometimes I go places and it smells so much like a persons house it really weirds me out. Perhaps I rely far too much on associations? But now I think I need to change detergents....

yours,

Kathryn

question

Dear Lexie,

Did you take any clothes to school with you that you have never worn before? Just wondering.....

Yours Truly,

Kathryn

weather report

Dear Lexie,

Ever since the calendar changed to October last week,
the great state of Tennessee has decided to bestow upon its inhabitants a taste of fall weather. I wore: flannel shirts, light sweaters, corduroys, and tights! Buuuuuut..... now it is supposed to be in the 80s again for a few days. I think the weather needs to make up its mind...

tennessee october! this is what i want!

Sincerely,
Kathryn

clarification

Dear Lexie,

It isn't so much rabid creatures that I am interested in. Really its just the cute ones that I like. And anything with a mask is cute in my book.

See? Look how adorable!

I will even accept creatures that are just masquerading.

I hope this clears things up!

Love and Hugs,
Kathryn

Dear Lexie,

I am very upset that you aren't going to be sending me any ginger balls. You know, I had great plans for this little blog that I was going to start just.for.you. But now I am sensing some animosity between us and I just don't know if we can continue being friends. I am so upset now that I don't think I can even think about replying to your email. It might be days or even weeks before I can  reply now. Look what you have done...

The only thing that slightly cheered me up was this video that I found when I searched google for ginger balls in hopes of finding out how I can make them myself and thus be able to eliminate you from my life all together. Enjoy this video Lexie. I hope some laughter might soften your cold, cold heart.

Regards,
Kathryn
